The printing era has been pretty good since Gutenberg. First, important things were printed like books.
But these are REALLY important, not some literature for the mob.
Well, because the mob was quite illiterate at the time. Then also such fiction was printed, meaning for the reading of the book. Well, since the last 50 years (even hundreds of them), it's all about printing - books, leaflets, business cards, even shirts, mugs, pens ...
Well, really everything.
Because you need to build brand awareness at the customer, i.e. printing and marketing is an inseparable couple.
Because you can print everything on your T-shirt and have it originally.

Changing print needsPrinting is needed, no one has doubts about it, but are they just as necessary as 20 years ago? This is a debatable issue, but certainly the market needs and consumer demand have changed a bit.
The production of marketing materials increased significantly - leaflets, banners, promotional leaflets, and advertisements - and decreased the production of books and magazines, mainly due to the popularization of the Internet. Will we wait for the times when printers, DTP operators and printing house owners will have to look for a new job?
DTP The DTP operator is a responsible person in printers, publishing houses and wherever materials are printed in large quantities, for the correct preparation of files that will be printed.
The task is easy and simple in theory, however, one small error of the DTP operator and the circulation of several thousand copies of newspapers can be thrown away.
In this work, many things may go wrong: change of paper for another, new printer with other inks, incorrect conversion of colors.
There are also typo errors, bad placement of some element or just a few details.
All this can end very badly and bring big losses - so it's work under stress and tension, because if something goes wrong it usually will be just for the DTP operator.
